Caring for your skin is tough enough, but add on the difficulty of finding products that are good for the earth too? Almost impossible.
I’ve tried my fair range of sustainable products and these are my current ride or dies! All crafted with the planet in mind, but also beautiful enough that I can’t wait to use them every day.
The oil that really does do it all. Light enough to use as a cleanser, hydrating enough to use as a moisturizer. There’s really no wrong way to use Everyday oil but here’s how I use it:
Bonus: It smells amazing!
Sustainability: It’s packaged in an amber glass bottle that can be used over and over again or placed in the recycling bin. All ingredients are 100% plant based. It’s also crafted to be used as a multipurpose product so you don’t have to buy as many products.
No matter your skincare concern, Attitude’s new line has a product for you. And the best part? Every product comes in a solid, plastic‑free packaging and is EWG verified. You don’t even have to take these babies out of your carry‑on bag when travelling or worry about leakage. And you can throw the packaging in the compost bin once you’re done since it’s completely biodegradable. A big win for us!
Our top picks? The Oil‑Milk Phyto‑Cleanse, Radiance Face Serum with Vitamin C, and Anti‑Aging Face Cream with Peptides.
Sustainability: Not only do they use biodegradable and recyclable materials, use clean ingredients, and have refill programs but they are EWG certified, ECOLOGO Certified, and PETA Leaping Bunnies approved. They also make sure their factory is eco-friendly and they implement a reforestation program!
Our favourite local skincare shop in Vancouver, Canada just launched their own beauty line and we’re just a *tad* obsessed. I mean, look at their beautiful packaging! Meant to be used together or separately, these products are clean and effective. We personally love Sunja Link’s The Serum!
Sustainability: Canadian-made and sustainably sourced ingredients at every step of the way.
Green Room Body makes a very clean and environmentally friendly sunscreen for those times you need extra protection. Perfect for days spent on the water or in the mountains due to its thicker formula that won’t wash away from sweat or water.
Sustainability: Green Room gives back in many ways by to various organizations, lowers their carbon emissions, hosts an initiative that promotes the circulation of secondhand books, and are VIGBC certified. Plus they always use natural ingredients and have a return-a-tin program.
A cult favourite and for good reason. Super hydrating, natural ingredients, cute container. What more could you want? Well, it’s actually packaged in an aluminum tube, which is infinitely recyclable. Plus they have the most dreamy product launches. Check Summer Fridays out for the ultimate example of a great marketing plan.
My forever favourite is the Jet Lag mask but I also love the Light Aura Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream.
Sustainability: Summer Friday’s also has a program where you can return your empty’s to get a discount on your next purchase. All of their ingredients are vegan, cruelty‑free, paraben‑free, and sulfate‑free.
Another aluminum option that’s as functional as it is cute. Sunjuju’s sunscreen is coral reef safe, made from natural ingredients and packaged with the earth and function in mind (aka we can actually get every last drop of the sunscreen thanks to being in a container rather than a tube).
Sustainability: Besides from using recyclable aluminum packaging, Sun Juju is also free of chemical fillers and donates 5% to the Climate Foundations marine permaculture project.
Get the summer glow all year round with all natural products that keep you tanned and sun kissed, no matter the weather. My personal favourite? Saltyface’s freckle stain! Take a look at their tutorials to learn how to get that perfect summer look.
Sustainability: Saltyface ensures they have low carbon emissions and packaging impact and only uses high quality natural ingredients. They’re vegan and cruelty free and are also part of the 1% for the planet initiative.
Before I even tried a Saie product, I fell in love with their timeless and beautiful branding. Maybe it’s the fact that I felt connected to their purple as another purple‑forward brand . But once I tried Saie’s Slip Tint, I become a fan favourite! Lightweight but still has ample coverage, plus it gives a perfect glow! What’s not to love?
Sustainability: Saie heavily focused on sustainability by using packaging that’s easily recycled or you can return it through their recycling program to ensure of proper disposal. All their ingredients are safe, clean, natural, and of course cruelty free . They’re also certified with a many planet friendly corporations, including Climate Neutral Certified, 1% for the planet, Certified Plastic Negative, Carbon Neutral Club, and Leaping Bunny Certified.
Okay, I haven’t actually tried this product yet but it’s gotten enough glowing reviews to make this list and my to‑buy list! Merit’s complexion stick is made with the minimalist in mind, meaning you only need to put it on trouble spots ‑ not your whole face. It’s meant to replace your foundation and concealer and comes in many shades that will match your lovely face. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and buildable. Sounds pretty great to me!
Tip: Buy online to receive their classic makeup bag that also doubles as a cute clutch (and is machine washable!). It ships free with every first order made on their site!
Sustainability: Vegan, cruelty free, and certified by Leaping Bunny, Merit also uses packaging that has the planet in mind. All their products are shipped in recyclable, reusable, or biodegradable materials.
Earthy, sensual, and dreamy – Merge’s Balmy Summer Perfume is easy to apply and goes well with any occasion and is gender neutral. Be reminded of summer whenever you use this!
Sustainability: Made in Canada with simple and clean ingredients. Merge always aim to support their local community in Tofino, BC and use recyclable materials.
Ditch the plastic and the extra water found in products and use a shampoo bar instead. Crafted with natural ingredients and formulated to give your hair that perfect shine and clean feeling. Superzero shampoo and conditioner bars are definitely the best ones I’ve tried!
Can’t get enough of beauty bars? Try their body lotion bar and shave soap!
Sustainability: Not only does Superzero use no water in their products (water is often used a filler ingredient in shampoo and conditioner), they don’t use any plastic in their packaging. And you know what that means? No hidden micro plastics either. To top it off their climate neutral and part of 1% for the planet!

I’ve tried a couple different safety razors and Well Kept’s safety razor really is superior. The weight is perfect for an easy glide that gives you a close shave. It’s also easy to assemble and clean. Plus it looks amazing!
Sustainability: Did you know that over 2 billion plastic razors end up in the landfill every year in just the US? Investing in a safety razor will allow you to use one razor for years to come. Well Kept also uses recyclable, compostable, or reusable packaging, has a blade bank program so they can recycle your blades, and even thinks about their energy in terms of their website design (aka has a dark mode and uses less video so less energy is being used. How thoughtful?!)
What are your favourite clean beauty products?
Happy self-care days!
